- The Loyola Academy boys cross country had three runners finish in the top 10 in Saturday's Loyola University Sean Earl Lakefront Invitational to place third in the team rankings. Names mentioned include Nico Composto, Mark Donohue and Jack Seeberg, Mac Ford and Kevin Kapolnek.
On the girls side, Loyola took fifth with 177 points. The Ramblers top finisher was Anne Marie McGuire, who placed ninth in 19:54. Colleen Fitzgerald crossed the finish line in 30th place with a time of 20:52.
Correction
In a story that ran in the Pioneer Press papers last week about the Loyola boys cross country team, the wrong person was listed as finishing ninth in the Libertyville Invitational. It was actually Jack Seeberg
Girls golf
Loyola Academy shot a team score of 340 to win its own Loyola Invitational Saturday at the Glencoe Golf Club. Names mentioned include Chelsea Michalek, Somy Kim, Molly Hulseman and Irene Hickey - Date of Publication
