No crying over 2nd place at Pow-Wow

New Trier had a second-place finish Saturday at the Crete-Monee Pow-Wow Invitational.

Mike Pearlman, Peter Foradas and Eric Zuckerman scored individual wins, and Kevin Armstrong and Matt McCambridge earned seconds. Also mentioned was
Thomas King, Noah Graboys and Sam Roth.



New Trier also scored a 20-41 triumph over Niles West in CSL South Division action last week as Graboys won in 15:50.

•GIRLS: John Burnside girls team also participated in a flighted invitational at Wheaton North. New Trier settled for 19th in the team standings with 130 points at a meet won by Hinsdale Central with 23.

Senior Sarah Mitrano ran 20th in the championship flight, in 19:02. Best individual finisher for the Trevians was senior Lindsay Olsen, 12th in the No. 7 flight in 20:16.
