Full Text

Death relieved the suffering of Frank Lincoln Fowler, a member of the law firm of Fowler and McDonald in the family home, 430 [unclear] Linden Avenue, Saturday. For more than three weeks Mr. Fowler suffered from an attack of erysipelas coupled with typhoid fever which developed.
Private funeral services were held in the home Tuesday at noon by Rev. Roy E. Bowers. The internement was in Mt. Hope cemetery.
Mr. Fowler was well known in Wilmette because of his prominence in legal and political circles. In 1913 he was a candidate for congress in the Tenth district on the democratic ticket. Prior to his removal to Chicago from Manistee, Michigan, seven years ago, Mr. Fowler was presiding attorney of Manistee county, and one of the leading members of the Michigan bar. Recently his name has been mentioned as a possible successor to James Wilkerson, as district attorney of the northern district of Illinois.
Born in Manistee, Michigan, forty-four years ago, Mr. Fowler was reared and educated in the public schools of that place. He attended and was graduated from the University of Michigan law school in 1892. Besides his widow, Mrs. Flora Hansen Fowler, who is president of the Wilmette branch of the Illinois Women's Democratic League, he leaves one daughter, Gladys, and three sons, Richard, Horace and Frank Lincoln Fowler, Jr. He also leaves one sister, Mrs. Angeline Fowler Branch of Big Rapids, Michigan.
