- Mike Tecton, former Wilmette resident and now a McLean, Virginia, architect, who refuses to pay taxes is being sued by the Internal Revenue Service. He plans to fight back by suing U.S. Senators Charles H. Percy, Adlai Stevenson, Harry F.Byrd, Jr. and William L. Scott and U.S. Reps. Robert P. Hanrahan and Joel T. Broyhill as well as President Richard M. Nixon on the grounds that they have violated the U.S. Constitution's guarantee of equality.
