- More than 1,300 Winnetka residents submitted surveys this year asking whether residents would support increased services for the library district. 827 people, or 65% said the library should "maintain current small-town tradition al library, no extra services." The library also wanted to know, if a consultant were to recommend a new library, where residents would prefer it to be built. Sixty-one percent said it should stay at it's present location, and 37 percent said it should replace the Post Office.
