Mr. Duncan McLeish of San Francisco, California, who is attending school at St. George's academy, is spending the holidays at the home of his uncle, Mr. Andrew McLeish.

The annual church dinner of the Union church is scheduled for Wednesday, January 12. At that time, the committee on [unclear] of constitution and church government will make its report.

At the Women's Literary Club Thursday afternoon, daughters' afternoon was observed. Miss Dorothy Meadows was the entertainer. Subject: "Nowadays." Miss May Trude sang.

Dr. and Mrs. Dwight C. Orcutt entettained during Xmas week Mrs. S. H. Orcutt and daughter, Miss Myrtle and Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Orcutt of Arcola, Illinois, and Mr. Will Leach of Boston.

Dr. and Mrs. O. D. Swain left Wednesday of last week to spend Christmas with their daughter, Mrs. Merritt [unclear] at Albany, N.Y. Dr. Swain returns this week and Mrs. Swain will remain until February.

Mrs. Raymond Stevens entertained Tuesday evening at her beautiful home on Green Bay road, near county line, for her daughter and son, Catherine and James. Fifty young people tripped the light fantastic and other wise enjoyed themselves.

At the Sunday morning service of the Union church New Year's day will be observed both in character of music and sermon. Rev. Cornell will read the names of young people who have not missed a Sunday in their attendance at Sunday school and Young People's Sunday morning service for the past three months.
