- J. Walter Nelson, 75, formerly of Northfield, died Aug. 19 in Sahuarita, Ariz., where he has lived since 1960. Survivors include his wife, Katherine; a son, J. Walter of Glenview; a step-daughter, Dereth of Washington; a sister, Gerda McAlvey of Glencoe; brothers, Earl of Austin, Tex., and Harold of Wilmette, and five grandchildren.
