Twin 10-year-old brothers Scott and Tommy Bickel of Winnetka won the USTA Boys 14-and-under doubles championship held Thanksgiving weekend at the A.C. Nielsen Tennis Center
Several area tennis players scored top 12 finishes at the USTA National Open tournament held over Thanksgiving weekend in Irvine, California. Robert Stineman of Winnetka earned fifth place in the Boys 16 bracket and Mike Moore of Glenview (7th) and Bill Mirkin of Wilmette (12th) scored top finishes among area entries in the Boys 18 division. - Date of Publication
