- A citizen's group has formed in Avoca School District 37 to push for passage of a tax increase referendum in te April 7 election. KIDS which stands for Keep Improving District 37 Schools, is seeking contributions and volunteers to canvass voters. The pro-referendum group is co-chaired by Viki Rivkin and Sheryl Swibel. Joel Rayne, resident of the Avoca Parent Teacher Council, is serving as the committee's treasurer.
