Myron L. Sparr Dies; Managed Theater Here

Myron L. Sparr, former theater manager in Wilmette, died of heart attack last Thursday at Paxton, Illinois. Mr. Spar was 50 years old. He managed the old Village Theater from the time it opened in June 1914 in what is now the First National bank building until January, 1922. For about a year Mr. Sparr also managed the old Central theater, which occupied the same location as the present Wilmette theater and which, during Mr. Sparr's managership, was owned by the same interests that controlled the Village theater. After resigning as manager of the Village theater, Mr. Sparr went into the restaurant business, and for a time operated the Shack in "No Man's Land" near the intersection of Tenth and Sheridan road. At the time of his death, Mr. Sparr was manager of the Paxtonian theater at Paxton. He moved to Paxton in June 1934. Mr. Sparr is survived by his widow, Mrs. Adele Reynolds Sparr, and two sons, William and Robert. The funeral services were held Saturday morning at Paxton, and the remains were brought to Chicago for burial in Rosehill cemetery.
