- The School Board is asking voters for permission to raise the tax rate from 1.472 to 1.639 percent of equalized assessed value in those funds that pay for routine expenses. The district estimates the highter rate will add between $165 and $179 to the annual tax bill for each $5,000 the homeowner currently pays in total property taxes.
