- Wilmette Memorial Day Parade was held Monday concluding with a ceremony held at the Veterans Memorial in front of Village Hall. Parade coordinator was Roy Batterham, past commander fo Huerter American Legion Post 46 in Wilmette. Among the names on the memorial are Dick Nilles (d. 25 May 1944), James Rice (d. 1944), Mark Hall (d.1944. Comments by Village President Christopher Canning, and trustees Karen Spillers and Alan Swanson.
