"Chess," presented by the North Shore Theater of Wilmette at 8 p.m. Nov. 6-7, 13-14 and 20-21; and 2 p.m. Nov. 8, 15 and 22 in the auditorium of the Wilmette Park District's Community Recreation Center, 3000 Glenview Road, Wilmette.

"It's a Wonderful Life: The Radio Play," based on the Frank Capra film, will be presented by ATC Theatre Company at 2:30 p.m. and 8 p.m. Dec. 12 at the Wilmette Theatre, 1122 Central Ave., Wilmette.

International string group Barrage will perform at 7 p.m. Nov. 3 in the Regina Dominican High School auditorium, 701 Locust Road, Wilmette. The group will perform selected numbers with students from three Wilmette schools, including Marie Murphy Middle School, Wilmette Junior High School and Regina Dominican High School.

Oct. 16, 30 and Nov. 13, 10:30 a.m.: "Rodgers and Hart: The Boys From Manhattan," a lecture series presented by musical theatre historian Charles "Corky" Troy. The life and work of Richard Rodgers and Larry Hart will be explored with music, video, photos and graphics.
