- Freshman Courtney Ackerman won the Class 3A Niles West Sectional on Saturday. New Trier placed four other runners in the top 31 and earned a a place at the IHSA State Finals in Peoria with a third place team finish. Comments by coach John Burnside. Other runners mentioned include Jessica Ackerman, Allie Crimmins, Kacie Swierk, Anna Berglund.
