- Retired Wilmette Police officer Phillip Schneider, 77, died Nov. 11 in Nursing home, Glenview. Schneider is survived by his Catherine, of 1620 Wilmette. A daughter, Virginia Unger, three sons, Willard of Wilmette, [damaged page], Barrington, and Ervin of Wausau, grandchildren; and six grandchildren. Burial was in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
