Notes: The Wilmette Civic Association is asking citizens to help turn Wilmette into a model village. The Association is encouraging aesthetic gardening throughout the village. A speaker from the association is recommending enhancement of vacant lots in western Wilmette with plantings. He suggests that citizens care for property beyond their own. Beautifying Wilmette will encourage friendly rivalry with neighboring towns.
