- Cubs co-owner Todd Ricketts of Chicago, and business partner Brendan Sullivan, purchased Higher Gear bicycle shops located in both Highland Park and Wilmette last October after the previous owner, John Olin, died in June. Olin started the business in 2003. The Wilmette store just re-opened at a new location in the Plaza del Lago shopping center, 1515 Sheridan Road, on Saturday. Ricketts brother Tom, also a Cubs co-owner, lives in Wilmette.
