- Wilmette District 39 is preparing to sell $6 million in bonds to finance $3 million in building improvements and restructure existing debt. SInce tax caps were enacted in the mid-1990s, the district's annual debt payments have been capped at $1.28 million. A new state law increases the debt allowance by the Consumer Price Index.
