- George M. Reynolds is president of the Continental & Commercial National Bank of Chicago, the largest bank in the United States outside of New York. He is quoted in an extract from a Washington newspaper about the popular belief in the existance of a "money trust." He supports the creation of a Federal reserve banking system to prevent credit panics such as the one in 1907.
