- The Rouse Simmons is a three masted schooner that delivered Christmas trees for thirty years under Captain Schuenemann. It failed to arrive this year. The home of the Rouse Simmons is St. James a town on Beaver Island off Charlevoix. Its owner is M. J. Bonner of St. James. Captain Nelson was the skipper during the summer when the ship delivered potatoes and lumber from Northern Michigan and Wisconsin..
