- Members of the Evanston Humane Society are watching closely for infractions of the Humane Law. Mrs. Merle F. Ashbaugh, 1251 Asbury Avenue, Evanston, is president of the Evanston Humane Society, assisted by Mrs. Henry F. Wood, 646 Hinman Avenue, and Mrs. Emma A. Rosine, 1618 Chicago Avenue. Several have been arrested for animal abuse including Henry Butler, liveryman, 914 Davis Street and John Brysom, 814 Church St., on complaint of agent M. McDonough for driving a lame horse. For the same offense Joseph Jaschinski was arrested by Officer Pasch
