- Description of the program devised by the social service department of the Evanston Woman's Club on Tuesday. Supt. Sherer of the public works department spoke of collecting waste paper for recycling by putting it in canvas bags so papers won't blow away, also residents were asked to shovel snow from sidewalks after the streets were plowed. Mr. James R. Smart spoke about the founding of the Olympic Club for Young Men of Evanston. Mr. Sherman C. Kingsley explained the intent of the fund for parents' law, for the most part a fund for mothers or a mothers' pension, although fathers can be included in certain cases. He urged the passing of the current bill. The proposed law for birth registration was urged. Children from Miss Holem's room in Larimore school sang.
