- The Evanston city council adjourned Tuesday night until Sept. 10 without deciding on the water question. Engineer Pierce was ill and could not make his final report to the council. Other items for discussion included the poison ivy scare in the south end of the city. A resolution passed making it illegal for boys to play beneath the viaducts in the city. The death of the Macdonald boy Monday night was the cause of the resolution.
