- The first formal banquet of the season was held at the North End Y.M.C.A. S. E. Kiser presided as toastmaster. The meal was catered by A. L. Jones. Invocation was said by Rev. A. L. Murray of St. Matthew's Episcopal Church, and Mayor James Russell Smart spoke about the commendable work of the Y.M.C.A. President Oliver T. Wilson of the Evanston Y.M.C.A. board of directors also spoke as did C. M. Cartwright. In the absence of Karl Shumaker, state secretary of the Y.M.C.A., Dr. Burt of the Central Y.M.C.A. training school spoke about the work of the Evanston instiutition.
