- Henry J. Peaster was arrested and fined $5 for violating the building ordinance of the village. Markham B. Orde, wealthy resident and connoisseur of architecture, objected to the style of Mr. Peaster's building and protested to Arthur G. Sayles, president of the village board. Peaster claims that his building is not in violation of the building ordinance and that he will fight the case.
