- Mrs. Ella S. Stewart, former president of the Illinois Equal Suffrage association, addressed more than 150 Glencoe women in the home of Mrs. A. J. Lichtstern on August 12. Following Mrs. Stewart's talk Mrs. James E. Quan gave some facts about child labor and Mrs. William Spencer Crosby gave the last act of Parsifal. Others present at the meeting were Mrs. Norman R. Williams, Mrs. Albert McRae, Mrs. J. J. Glessner, Mrs. C. H. Howard, Mrs. Sidney Newhall, Mrs. James Calhoun, Mrs. D. P. Walton, Mrs. Sherman Booth, Mrs. Fred King, Mrs S. H. Harrington of Highland Park, Miss Mina Howard, Miss Catherine Howard, Mrs. Otto Barnett, Mrs. T. V. Brandriff, Mrs. R. D. Coy, Mrs. F. E. Thompson, Mrs. M. P. Goodspeed, Mrs. A. T. Hall, Mrs. F. T. Hunt, Mrs. E. J. Sherwin, Mrs. Charles von Winner, Mrs. T. J. Woolley, Miss arah McGill and Miss Ruth Newhall.
