C. M. Foster has returned from New York.
Thatcher Nelson has returned from Nashota, Wis.
R. L. Gonsalves is in Jacksonville, Ill., for a few days.
Miss Irene Kolterman spent the last week in Chicago.
J. H. Dingwell was on the sick list a few days last week.
Edw. Burling and family are spending a few weeks in the east.
Miss Dorothy Killen has returned from a week's visit in Chicago
Mrs. Pierson of Indianapolis, Ind., is the guest of Mrs. F. M. Hortine.
Mrs. Haart of Buffalo, N. Y., is visiting Mr. and Mrs. F. Whitney.
Miss Mary Williams is spending her vacation at Stillman Valley, Ill.
Mr. Charles Seifert visited his mother, Mrs. Julia Seifert, over Sunday. Mr. H. W. Tresch is spending a few weeks' vacation at Mineral Point, Wis. Mrs. Jas. S. Cushman of New York is visiting her aunt, Mrs. Robert Scott.
Reginald Buchanan has returned from a three weeks' visit at Lake Forest.
Miss Chloe Babylon of Ohio is spending a week with Mrs. E. E. Vogler.
Roland and Harold Gruver are spending the summer with relatives in Dixon, Ill.
Mrs. C. C. Wortley and children have returned from a week's outing in Michigan.
Rev. F. J. Haarth entertained the choir of St. Raphael's church of Chicago Sunday.
Mrs. Burling of Eldora, Ia., is spending a few weeks with her son, Edw. B. Burling.
Jas. Livingston is moving the Calhoun house from Glencoe to his lot on Edson avenue.
Miss Helen Wyman has returned to her duties at the village hall after a week's vacation.
Mrs. P. Z. McDonald formerly of Hubbard Woods, called on old friends last Thursday.
Mr. and Mrs. A. E. Albright are spending the summer in the mountains of Pennsylvania.
Dr. W. L. Ballinger sailed from Liverpool Saturday, July 27. He will be in his office Aug. 5.
The senior choir of Sacred Heart church will go for an outing Thursday to Silver Lake, Wis.
Mrs. R. Matz has returned from Williamstown, Mass., after an extended visit in that place.
Mrs. McDonald of Cincinnati, O., is spending a few weeks with her sister, Mrs. C. R. Sheperd.
Mrs. C. M. Cowen of Ohio left Saturday after a short visit with her sister-in-law, Mrs. E. E. Vogler.
Mr. Allan Shirley has returned to his duties with the El Paso & South Western railroad, El Paso, Tex.
Miss Mary Ellen Ballenger of Exonomy, Ind., is visiting the family of Dr. Ballenger of Hubbard Woods.
Mrs. A. L. Stanton, formerly of New York, left Monday for Michigan to spend a couple of months with her son.
Mr. and Mrs. Hugo Schneider, formerly of Hubbard Woods, now of Highland Park, are the parents of a baby girl.
Mr. and Mrs. G. A. E. Kohler left Tuesday for Holland, Mich., where they expect to spend the remainder of the summer.
Mrs. Andrew Davis and her daughters, Mrs. Cornell of Glencoe and Mrs. Mahoney of Hubbard Woods, are spending the summer at Fitchburg, Mass.
The C. and N. W. railroad are putting in a much-needed gate at Gage street. The business men will certainly appreciate it.
