Miss Ethel Erickson is visiting H. E. Odhuer and family.
Mrs. Alice Robson of Chicago was the guest of Mrs. E. E. Volger last week.
Carl Heinig has returned from the Michael Reese hospital. He is much improved.
Mrs. T. Taylor, Jr. and son, Thorne, have gone for a ten days' trip through Colorado.
Mr. and Mrs. F. J. Gage have returned from a week's outing at Saugatuck, Mich.
Miss Charlotte McGalpin of Indianapolis, Ind., is the guest of Miss Geraldine Fitzgerald.
E. J. Cudahy and family of Chicago are occupying Mr. E. Yeoman's residence on North avenue.
Mr. and Mrs. George Kirby have returned after spending three months in their old home in England.
Mr. S. A. Hartsell has bought the George Gonsalves house on Edson avenue and recently moved into it.
Mr. August Mellman of Edgewater has taken a position as butcher i the White City Grocery and Market.
Miss Anna Rooney has returned to her duties after an enjoyable trip through different points in Canada.
Mrs. Rogers and Miss Anna Jones spent a few days of last week at Michigan City, Ind., and St. Joesph, Mich.
Mrs. Pierson has returned to her home in Indianapolis after spending several weeks with Mrs. F. M. Hotine.
The dog catchers from Winnetka visited our village Monday and several unmuzzled canines are moving from the streets.
Mr. D. Cummings has opened up a second-hand furniture store and is carrying a full line of antique and modern furniture.
A. F. Durand is making extensive changes on his home on Asbury avenue. Meanwhile they are occupying the Burnham house.
Miss Alice Fitzgerald and Miss Dorothy Killin have returned from Sullivan, Mo., after spending a pleasant week at that place.
The hose house occupied by Winnetka Volunteer Fire company No. 2, located at Edson and Rosehill streets, has been newly painted, making quite an improvement on that corner.
W. S. Hamm has gone on a business trip.
C. M. Foster and family have moved to Allentown, Pa.
Miss Elizabeth Neswald is visiting Miss Martha Clark.
Mrs. C. L. Williams is spending some time in Vermont.
W. P. Ossinger is erecting a new home on Linden avenue.
Dr. and Mrs. Orcutt have returned from their automobile trip.
Laird Bell and family are visiting relatives at Winona, Minn.
Mrs. James R. West is visiting her sister in Montreal, Canada.
Mrs. Rudolph Matz is spending a few weeks at Rumford, Me.
Mr. Geo. Mullen, station agent, is suffering with a fractured wrist.
Mr. E. Yeomans had joined his wife and children at Woodstock, N. Y.
Mrs. Morath of Ohio spent a few days last week with Mrs. Kate Elliott.
Miss Doris Lyons has returned from a two weeks' stay at Waukesha, Wis.
Mr. Inglefritz has returned to his old position as assistant agent at this place.
Master Thomas Dennehy is spending a few weeks with his aunt at Mackinac.
Mrs. Burnham and children have gone to California for the remainder of the summer.
Dr. Theobold of Baltimore, Md., is visiting at the home of his daughter, Mrs. J. E. Lloyd.
Mr. and Mrs. Shaw of Englewood spent Sunday with their daughter, Mrs. Jas. I. Lyons.
Mr. Wm. Schneider has moved into his new house, corner of Asbury avenue and Rosehill street.
C. G. Hamilton and family are occupying the Laird Bell bungalow on North avenue for a few weeks.
Mr. Hugo Schneider, formerly of this place, now assistant postmaster at Highland Park, was calling on old friends Friday.
Dr. J. R. Fletcher is attending the national medical convention at Boston and Niagara. He is accompanied by his son, Richard. They will also make side trips to Washington and New York. They expect to be gone about two weeks.
