Mrs. W. M. Hoyt entertained a few friends at luncheon on Wednesday, Aug. 21.
On Friday night, Aug. 16, a beach party was given for Miss Margaret Copeland.
Mrs. James Houghteling, who has been visiting in the east, has returned to her home.
Miss Phebe Brown, who has been visiting her sister, Mrs. James Goodman, returned last week.
Charles Weart and William Bishop, who have been visiting friends at Lake Geneva, are home again.
Mr. and Mrs. F. D. Fulton, who have been making a short trip to California, have returned home.
Miss Edith Beach gave a porch dinner party for eight guests on Monday night, Aug. 19. All of her guests went to Mrs. Scribner's dance later in the evening.
Mrs. Gilbert Scribner and Mrs. Arthur Symes gave a large dance on Monday, Aug. 19, for the young people. The dance was held at the Winnetka Woman's club.
Mrs. George Derickson returned to Winnetka last week. She has been spending the summer in Michigan with her sister-in-law, Mrs. John Hasiam of Kenilworth.
Mr. and Mrs. J. Allen Haines are visiting friends at Greenwich, Conn.
Miss Charlotte Wittstein, who has been spending several weeks in Wisconsin, returned home last week.
Dr. and Mrs. Casey Wood will give a dance Saturday evening in honor of Miss Ethel perley, daughter of the acting premier of the dominion of Canada. A number of dinners will precede the affair.
Mr. and Mrs. William M. Hoyt will entertain for their grandchildren tomorrow evening. They will hold a reception from 8 o'clock until 10 and then an opportunity will be given to all those who care to dance.
Mrs. Charles G. Bolte returned from her trip to California last week. She went to San Francisco in June to attend the meeting of the Federation of Woman's clubs and she has spent the rest of the time in visiting various points of interest along the coast.- Featured Link
