- Third edition of Chicago from the River by Joan V. Lindsay of Winnetka, is now published. Lindsay is a docent with the Chicago Architecture Foundation. Singer/songwriter Jessica Rae, Winnetka native, will perform Sept. 10 at Joe's Bar, 940 W. Weed St., Chicago. Rae is a 2000 graduate of New Trier High School. Hoopla, a group of musicians from the North Shore will play classic rock Sept. 24 at Hanson Brothers Tavern, 1945 Willow Road, Northbrook. Band members include Howie Winestock of Wilmette, Chris Derfler of Deerfield, John Burchard, Brian Adams, Tom Howland and Bud Nichols all of Glenview. Wilmette watercolor artist, Andrea Vincent, has two paintings "Native Pots" and "Native Textures," on exhibit through Sept. 29 at the Millicent Rogers Museum in El Prado, New Mexico.. Matt Walker of Wilmette, rock drummer/ composer, will debut a set of his original songs with a new musicians collective he's calling 100faces Sept. 16 at the Bottom Lounge in Chicago.
