Edwin Scribner, Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Scribner, 1404 Judson avenue, Evanston, was killed last Thursday evening when his automobile skidded on the wet pavement of the Northwest highway near Palatine and turned over twice, rolling into a ditch. Edgar Fowler, 420 Hamilton avenue, Evanston, his companion escaped with slight injuries. The two boys were returning from the Woodstock Country club when Scribner applied the brakes of his car suddenly to avoid hitting a car in front of him. Scribner was crushed by the wheel and died on the way to the Campbell hospital in Palatine. He was well known in Kenilworth.
