Elmer E. Adams, a resident of Winnetka since 1898, founder of the Adams Pharmacy in that village and Winnetka postmaster under Presidents Taft, Harding and Coolidge prior to 1927 when he retired from service, passed away last Wednesday morning at the age of 64 years. Funeral rites will be held this afternoon at 2:30 o’clock from the Memorial Park cemetery chapel. Mr. Adams was a member of the Masonic order, the I. O. O. F. and was a charter member of the Winnetka Rotary club. He was recently made an honorary member of the latter organization because of a one hundred percent attendance record. [photo of Elmer Adams]
