Aged Gross Point Man Passes Away: Thomas Bohnen, 83 years old, dies in home Friday after lingering illness [heading]

Thomas Bohnen, 83 years old, one of the oldest and best known farmers residing in Gross Point, died in the family home Friday after a lingering illness. Death was caused by infirmities incident to old age. He had resided in and around Gross POint for almost twenty years. Mr. Bohnen was born in Schoenfeld, Reinpreisen, Germany. He came to America about twenty-five years ago and after a residence of five years in New York State removed to Gross Point. He was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church. Besides his wife, he leaves five children, John, Benjamin, Teresa, Barbara and Anna. He also leaves one sister, Mrs. Egidius Meyer, also of Gross Point. Funeral services were conducted in St. Joseph's church Sunday afternoon. Burial was in St. Joseph's cemetery.
