Joseph Lear, committed suicide at the home of his sister-in-law, Miss Rose Yokel, 1213 Wilmette avenue, last Friday afternoon. Mr. Lear has not been in good health for some two years. He was in the box manufacturing business in Chicago up to that time, but gave up the active management of this business due to failing health. Last summer he worked for a short time as time keeper at Memorial Park cemetery, while the construction work was going on there. It was thought that the work is the hot sun aggravated his already poor condition. For some time he has been in a sanitarium in Wisconsin, and came back to Wilmette for the first part of this month. An inquest was held and the verdict of the coroner's jury was that he had committed suicide while partially insane. The body was shipped to Lima, Ohio, a former home, for burial. He is survived by a wife and a sixteen year old son.
