Mrs. James A. Russell, a resident at 589 Drexel avenue, Glencoe, for more than 20 years, died Thursday, June 29, in Pasadena, Calif., where she had been for several months. Funeral services and interment were at Sunnyside Mausoleum in Long Beach, Calif., on July 1. Mrs. Russell, who was born Mabel Holthoff, was the wife of James A. Russell, a former president of the village of Glencoe. In addition to Mr. Russell, she is survived by three daughters, Eileen, Jane, and Mrs. Lorraine Randall, who lives in Coronado, and by a son, James Henry, ten years old. She is also survived by three sisters, Mrs. Ralph Mapps of Green Lake, Wis., Mrs. Ben Thayer, of Philadelphia, and Mrs. Maurice Needham of Chicago. Mrs. Russell was a member of the Glencoe Woman's Library club and an officer of the Glencoe Chapter of the D.A.R. She attended Ripon college, in Wisconsin, and was a graduate of Stout Institute.
