Carl F. S. Peterson, 69, died Saturday, May 21 at the Mission Covenant Hospital in Chicago. He had lived in Kenilworth at 639 Cumnor Road since 1936. He is survived by his widow, Livia, a Winnetka school teacher for 23 years; by his foster son, Joseph Mahtan; by one sister, Mrs. Violet Freeberg of Chicago; and by one nephew Sheldon E. Erickson of Cleveland, Ohio. Services were conducted on Tuesday, May 24, by the Rev. Carl D. Bostrom at Lane Chapel in Chicago. The Rev. Mr. Bostrom, who also sang a solo at the services, is the pastor of the Swedish Lutheran Church at Whitehall, Michigan, which was Mr. Peterson's church. Interment was in Rosehill Cemetery.
