Sale of beer and liquor in New Trier township has been stopped by the sheriff's office. Mrs. Margaret S. Pierson, 804 Forest Avenue, Wilmette, secretary of the New Trier Township board, was advised by L. J. Laird of the sheriff John Toman's office, that last week Lieutenant George McGrew was ordered to visit the places where it was alleged liquor was being sold, and warned that they must cease selling by December 31. This action was taken at the request of Frederic O. Mason, president of New Trier Citizens' League; Harry C. Kinne, president of the Village of Wilmette; Harry P. Harrison, president of the Village of Kenilworth; William B. Moulton, president of the Village of Winnetka, and Forest D. Siefkin, President of the Village of Glencoe.
