- Total of 13 individuals and five teams will be honored as newcomers to the Loyola Academy Athletic Hall of Fame at induction ceremony and dinner October 3. Newest members of the Hall include James M. Baisley (1992, football), Raymond L. Elster (1942, football), Barry T. Bielinski (1959, swimming), Christopher J. Brennan (1976, football, track and field), Gary M. Feiereisel (1974, basketball), Francis M. Corby (1934, football, coach), Donald A. Holland (1973, football), Henry J. Hyde (1968, baseball), Mark F. Rebora (1978, wrestling), William R. Hogan Jr. (1969, football), Robert C. Schwarze (1980, football, track and field), and coaches James T. O'Donnell (basketball) and Jack W. O'Grady (hockey). Also honored was Coach of the Year Thomas J. Fitzgerald. Teams added to the list include the 1921 baseball team, 1953 basketball team, 1984 track and field team, 1968 swim team, and the 1990 baseball team.
