- Susan Gordon Witherell, 59, of Winnetka died Nov. 30 [1996]. Survivors include her husband of 38 years, James Summers Witherell; two children, Sharon Summers Witherell Hager of Darien, Conn. [Connecticut] and Matthew Gordon Witherell of Chicago; her father, Bernhard Gordon of Chicago; and a brother, James Gordon of Sacramento, Calif. Services were held Friday at the Winnetka Congregational Church. Antoher service will be held at 3 p.m. Dec. 13 at the First Congregational Church in Old Greenwich, Conn.
