- Former Wilmette resident Anna K. Witt died Feb. 18 in Malibu, California. She was 92. Mrs. Witt was born in Wilmette on the Frederick H. Witt dairy farm, which is the site of the Terrace Restaurant and Wilmette Park District Golf Course. She lived in Wilmette for 88 years before moving to California. She worked in the Wilmette Public Library. Mrs. Witt was preceded in death by her son, Kenneth; her brothers, Clarence, Harry, Philip, Fredrick and Richard and her sisters, Bessie Weiss and Della Suhr. She is survived by her daughters, Marian Wexler of Malibu and Eleanor Ann Cloutman of Kansas City, Mo.; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
