- Joan Sutter Williams, 76, died May 20, 1993, in Evanston Hospital. She was preceded in death in 1970 by her former husband, William D. Truesdale Jr. Survivors include her husband, Richard L. Williams Jr.; sons, William D. (Sandra) Truesdale III of Mt. Prospect and Michael Truesdale of Chicago; a daughter, Ann T. (George H. Jr.) Walper of Winnetka; four grandchildren, William D. Truesdale IV and Alan Truesdale, both of Mt. Prospect, Evan Truesdale of Chicago;and Brooke Walper of Winnetka; a sister Carolyn Laird of Barnstable, Mass.; a stepdaughter, Carol (Edward Jr.) McGrew of Evanston; stepson, Richard L. (Karen) Williams III of Chicago; three step-grandchildren and three step-great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held May 24 at the Winnetka Congregational Church, Winnetka. Interment was private.
