- Eleanor R. Simpson died Saturday at Holy Family Health Care Center in Des Plaines. She was 96. Mrs. Simpson was born in Shermerville (now Northbrook), the daughter of the late John Evert and the late Mary Margaret Rengel Evert. She was married to the late Burnie R. Simpson. She is survived by her sisters, Theresa Pearson, Catherine James, Mary Beinlich, Barbara Bohn, Elizabeth Beinlich and Annie Schneider; her brothers, George Evert, Joseph Evert and August Evert; and many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
