Notes: A combined memorial service for Esther and Donald Smith will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 8, at First Presbyterian Church of Wilmette. Donald Smith died Dec. 30, 1992; Esther, his widow, died April 9, 1993 in Mesa, Arizona. Esther Smith was born on Oct. 29, 1914, to Edward and Dora Smith in Harvel, Ill. Her marriage to Donald F. Smith was on April 15, 1938. They are survived by a daughter, Donna Smith of Wauwatosa, Wis.; a son, Larry (Judy) Smith of Canton, Mich.; and grandchildren Steve Smith of Canton, and Amy (Bill) Durnen of Ann Arbor, Mich. Mrs. Smith is also survived by a brother, Harold (Margaret) Smith of Champaign, Ill., and nieces and nephews Tom (Charmaine) Smith of Austin, Texas, Libbie (Jim) Hale and their children of Nashville, Ill., and Becci (Chuck) Cline and their children of Danvillle, Ill., and many friends.
