- Lydia Elliott Schweppe, 76, died at her home in Winnetka on March 20. Lydia Schweppe was the daugher of William and Ethel Elliott, granddaughter of John and Ethel Buckingham, and great-granddaughter of William and Lydia Hibbard, who settled in Chicago in 1849. In 1943 she married Dr. John Shedd Schweppe, She is survived by three children, Leigh Schweppe Buettner, Charles Schweppe and David Schweppe; and six grandchildren. A memorial service was held at Christ Church, Winnetka on March 22.
