Notes: Kathryn Towle, 97, a former resident of Evanston and Winnetka, died Friday, Nov. 21 in Tryon Estates Medical Facility in Columbus, N.C.

Mrs. Towle was born in Hampton, Va., the oldest of three children. She was married to Herbert J. Buck. After the death of Herbert Buck, she married Roland Towle in 1984. Again widowed in 1991, she moved into Tryon Estates where she resided until her death.

Survivors include two sons, Jay Buck of Northfield and Michael (Debbie) Buck of Brevard, N.C.; six grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; a sister, Elizabeth Rapp of Walnut Creek, Calif.; and three nieces and nephews.
