Notes: James A. O'Connell, 71, died December 5, 2000 at home in Winnetka. Survivors include his wife, Joan (née Payne); two daughters, Margaret (Robert) Jarecki of St. Charles and Jane (James) McGrail of Naperville; three sons, Malachy (Deborah) O'Connell of Grayslake, Burke (Susan) O'Connell, of Warner Robins, Ga., and Bart O'Connell of Chicago; nine grandchildren; a sister, Virginia (Thomas) Moran of LaGrange; and a brother, Edward (Rita) O'Connell of Plano, Texas. Preceded in death by four brothers, John (Mary Ann), Daniel, George (Mary Clare) and Phillip (Betty Ann) O'Connell; and a sister, Maurita O'Connell.
