Mrs. Leahy was born in Chicago.

Her husband, James, preceded her in death. She is survived by her daughter, Kathryn Leahy of Glenview; three sons, James F. Jr. of Wilmette, Thomas F. of Lake Forest and J. Patrick of Highland Park; 12 grandchildren and a sister, Beryl Mosher of Wilmette.

Burial took place in Calvary Cemetery in Evanston.
