- Charlotte Hornstein Laird Lee of Evanston, 87, died September 28, 1999 at her home. Preceded in death by two husbands, James A. Laird and Edward N. Lee. Survivors include stepsons John R. (Barbara) Lee of Wilmette and Edward N. Lee Jr. of Chicago; stepdaughter Elizabeth N. Lee of Los Angeles; two step-grandchildren; and a sister, Annette Hornstein Janpol of Scottsdale, Ariz.
