Notes: Roy A. Holmes, formerly of Glencoe, Evanston and Wilmette, died May 18 [1996] at Brandel Care Center, Northbrook. He was 99. He is survived by his wife, Ruth K. Holmes; two children, Roy A. Jr. (Andrea) Holmes of Forest Park, Ohio, and Robert P. (Mary) Holmes of Morton, Ill.; 15 grandchildren, and 17 great-grandchildren. Two children, John S. Holmes and Jean D. Pelton, died before him.
