- Former Wilmette resident Lawrence Francis DeGryse, 93, died July 6 in Winter Haven, Fla. Mr. DeGryse was born in Chicago. He was preceded in death by his wife, Beatrice Sollee DeGryse, and his brother, Charles W. DeGryse of Evanston. Survivors include his two daughters, Beatrice (John) Chamberlain of Kenilworth, and Elizabeth (Gene) Buino of Winnetka; his sister Martha G. Gallagher; six grandchildren John(Jane), Henry, Michael, and Mary Chamberlain, and Richard and James Buino; and one great-grandchild, Joseph Chamberlain; as well as many nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held in Florida.
